I called her...

So it was supposed to be the first day of my trial today, but it was adjourned to tomorrow. Then later in the day, defence told us they wanted to vacate the whole thing, so now it's not going to go ahead.

So because of that, and because I saw Clare was getting frantic about my matter on Wednesday, I told her upfront and offered to take it back. She couldn't do it fast enough, lol. Oh well.

So I had to go to the conference for that matter, met GF, was probably the worst conference of my life, cause I had just picked it up again and didn't know crap about it, and just kept saying I don't know. Grrr.

I stayed back late to finish a minute, and then started re-reading the transcripts in that matter to get back on top of it. I decided to call it quits at 7pm. I was about to shut down my computer, before I made the non-sensical decision to call Naby on the office phone. I dialed a few numbers first to hide my number. It rang. She picked up. She said "yebeoso?" a lot of times. She sounded a bit frustrated.

I was trying to hear any background noises, thinking she must be in the shop. But nothing. It was all quiet. So there goes my paranoia that she's always out partying, shopping, hanging out with guys.

I went to the gym after, couldn't stop thinking about her. I was beginning to think maybe I should go see her again. She sounded lonely. I thought about sending her one message later in the week and seeing what happens.

But as I listened to my music on the way back home, my mind started to change. And then I walked past the old BP station, where they will be building new apartments. One of my dreams now is to buy one of those apartments when they have finished building, so it made me re-focus on my goals.

Kainan 2-5-1

On Friday I continued my avoidance of Nunjo, until in the afternoon when I couldn't resist sending a joke to the team. There was an email from the union about other government agencies and how they voted. I sent a group email saying "am I the only one who thinks it's funny that only 50% of AEC bothered to vote??"

Clare and Moira replied with a laugh. Nunjo replied with "Yes. But I find it amusing that you find it funny". Lol. I didn't know how to reply. So next time I walked past her room, I went in and said "are you making fun of me?" I can't remember what she said, but she ended up telling me about one of her matters, saying her cop had screwed up one of the discs, and she showed it to me, meaning I had to walk closer to her, standing next to her looking at her monitor.

We talked for a bit before I left.

Yesterday morning I gambled. I know, it's bad. But the night before, I was told that we needed a new tyre for the car as the rigth back one was always losing air, so we needed $100 for that. Then my mom reminded me it was my dad's birthday, and asked for money to go to yum cha.

The only way I could think of was to try to win some money. That, or just getting some cash out from my credit card.

I withdrew $800 from my credit card, and plan was to win $300, so I could make $100 repayment progress as well. If I lost $600, then I'd go home with the remaining $200 to give to my parents.

I drove out and got there at about 7:30am. I went in and saw the mostly empty tables. Only a few roulette tables were open. I exchanged my cash for eight black chips. Some guy bet $100 on black and $10 on zero. I bet $100 on black and $100 on third column.

It came out 30, red. I won $100. The guy had walked away and come back, and tried to take my chips. I was like "nah, you had black" and he didn't seem to understand. The dealer told him he'd been betting colours and zero all the time, so the third column was mine. The pit boss had to come around and I explained it to her, and then she concluded that it was red, so we both lost on the colour anyway. Not sure if that really helped the guy, but he seemed to concede it.

I bet on 1-18 and third dozen on the next bet, and got my money back as it landed within 1-18. I almost had a feeling that I had lost on that.

I then decided to bet on red and second column. Don't know why really. Well, actually, I looked at the last three numbers and they were all red, so I figured I might as well bet on the streak.

And then 23 came out. Wow. That was $300, and now I was $400 up. I didn't even think twice as I said thank you and walked to the cashier. I cashed in and went back home to give my parents $200.

I had to go meet Bo and Jim for training, so even though it was raining, I trekked out to the city, only to find that there was karate going on. I called Jim and he was on his way, but turned around when I told him. I called Bo and his phone was off.

I decided to go into the office to read my brief for Monday's trial. I had planned to do it on Sunday, but since I was out here, I might as well do it now. I went to the office and worked till 1pm, before I went to the gym, and then home for lunch. I wanted a nap, but G wanted to watch a movie, so Malay, G and I went to the shopping centre near me and we watched Immortals.

It was an ok movie. Isabel Lucas was really hot as Athena. It seemed like a movie made to prop up the guy who stars in it.

Today, I washed the car in the morning, then bummed around at home. In the early afternoon I drove to the office to exchange shirts, and then cleaned the inside of my car for a bit. Apparently when my dad went swimming, someone had hit our car. It's a scratch on the front left, where I had painted over before. It wasn't too bad, I could do it again but my dad wants to get the insurance involved.

I met up with Bo at the train station for bball. He told me about his break up with his girlfriend. Apparently she had snooped around his facebook and email, and he wasn't very happy about that. The only thing I was wondering about was what she saw in him. By her facebook pic, she is quite pretty. He is divorced, fat and bald.

*sigh*

By chance, we saw Nick and Jim after we got off the train, and they gave us a lift each.

We were playing the Ninjas, who are currently tied for first place. I really had my fears against this team, just cause they seemed so good. Everyone showed up except Garry, Alex and the blackhole.

We were actually doing alright in the first 10 minutes, despite me missing my shots. Nick and War really kept us in the game as they dominated the inside. But then some stupid fouls and turnovers by us put them ahead.

We were only down eight for most of the second half, which was striking range for us, but they broke out of that eventually. I hit two late threes in the game to make the score look not as bad. I noticed that with my mid-range shots, I had tried to flick my wrist into the basket, which made it too strong. But with my threes, I did the same thing and they went in, so yeah, it seems like a three point thing only.

Nick, Bo and I went to Macca's afterwards. We talked a bit about the game, but also about other stuff going on in our lives. He gave Bo a lift back and I was happy to catch the train, cause it allowed me to listen to my music.

On the bus, there was this really attractive redhead. I thought she was perfect for me, maybe mid-20's, my height, attractive type without make up, sporty. It was a packed bus and I stood right next to her. She stood at the door facing the front, and I stood facing her. I couldn't help but feel that tension between us, maybe she was stealing glances at me the couple of times she turned her head? Maybe she felt the same tension? Or maybe she thought I was a creep? I did notice that at one stage she stepped into my personal space a bit, and I felt the temperature get a few degrees warmer.

She got off near the basketball courts, so I wonder if I'll ever see her again.

Shohoku 1-6

I got to the courts early as we had duty. I wasn't looking forward to making awkward conversation with Angelo, but eh. I sat around playing on my phone and watching the kids train. Some guy kept walking back and forth. I think he was a ref. We made eye contact sometimes, but I was only looking up to see if it was someone from my team.

Luckily Mike showed up early as well, so I did duty with him, and Angelo just hung around. Mike invited me to this christmas party thing, presumably so I could meet girls. Problem was, it seems like there's going to be a lot of young people there - I'm talking under 18's. Still not sure if I should go, even though I said yes.

Anyway, when our game rolled around, turns out the guy I made eye contact with earlier was our referee, along with Karen. We played Drain Train, the tall lanky team. My shot wasn't as fortunate this time round as I clanked a few early on. We were missing Nick and went down like 2-16 or something until he arrived and we started to catch up slowly.

Towards the end of the first half, there was a violation called on the other team and the clock was running down. I quickly ran to the guy from the other team to get the ball, but instead of giving it to me, he walked away and put it behind his back twice before dropping it. I pointed that out to the guy ref and he said I had to take it out to the sidelines anyway. That really pissed me off.

We did a magnificent job of catching up, through no help of me. I was actually willing to come off for Aris cause I was having such a shit game. We were down two points with a minute to go and we had the ball. Someone shot it, and I watched as someone from the other team turned to face Nick to push him to the ground.

I said "oh fucking hell!" and the guy ref called a tech. I was pissed. He asked me what my number was and I didn't say anything. He asked me again and I didn't say anything. He asked me again and I yelled "find out!" pointing to the back of my jersey, and he T'd me up again. Fucking cunt.

After watching the other team take four free throws, and basically sealing the win, I put my shirt on and walked out. We had a whinge about it after the game. I knew I had lost it for the team, after such a great catch up. But One was blaming the ref, saying how could he call a tech at such a critical point of the game.

I ended up going home by myself because Nick drove Bo, and felt really bad on the train. I really felt like punching that ref out.

My first police hearing

So on Tuesday I had my first hearing as the prosecution and involving the police. I must admit, I was nervous, but when the nervousness went to a boiling point, I simplified things by just saying to myself "eh, just do this and this, if you stuff it up, who cares".

I went into the office, got into the same lift as Imad and Tim. It was a bit of a shock to think Imad does this everyday. I don't think I could (even though I used to, just not as early).

I got changed and had some toast before heading off on the train. Instead of preparing, I napped a bit.

I got to court a bit late as the train seemed stuck at Granville. I got there at about 9:20am. I checked the list and looked around but couldn't see my informant, before realising that I was upstairs. I looked up and saw some cops, and one of them pointed at me - that was them.

I went up and greeted them. My informant looked a bit different. The male cop looked exactly like in the video, I felt like I had met him before. The other female cop wasn't as pretty, but if she was interested, I reckon I would've gone for it.

We talked a bit before the landlord arrived, and I had a chat with him, going through the questions I'd be asking him. He wanted me to ask the police about compensation for kicking his door down, lol, so I asked and the informant said they wouldn't be paying for it, which I thought was a bit slack.

I hadn't seen Joy yet. I was still hoping for the 1% chance that this would turn into a plea. She showed up eventually, and I was a bit annoyed that she hadn't seen her client yet. We mentioned our matter, and it was stood down for her to see her client and for some other matters to be dealt with.

When she returned, I was disappointed to find out that we'd really be going ahead. Oh well, at least I was prepared by now. We were sitting next to eachother in the front row behind the bar table. She held my wrist and gave me that intent look she used to give me when we worked together and said "this is going to be fun!"

Ummmm...no it's not. And stop touching me!

The mag asked me for an opening, and I read the brief one I had done, and then tried to call my first witness before she asked me for further details! Lol! Then I just spoke off the top of my head, which was actually a lot better and articulate than reading off a piece of paper. So there you go.

Eventually I called my first witness, the landlord. I could tell this was going to be funny from the point where he didn't answer my question and instead gave a whole background of his involvement, lol. Then in cross-examination on him identifying the accused, he said "I know it's bad to say this, but it's hard for me to tell Asian people apart"!!!

I was holding my head, looking down, trying not to laugh, lol. It had a more business feel to the hearing after him, when I got to the police witnesses. As I asked questions of my informant, I couldn't help but think "damn, she's really beautiful".

After I did her, we had morning tea and I hung around while they went for a coffee. After that my informant helped me sort out the exhibits while I questioned the male cop. With the next female cop, I tried to tender the physical exhibits through her, before the mag was like "do you just have photos of these exhibits?" haha. Ah I'm a fucking idiot.

I reckon she rolled her eyes many times at both of us. I should've been glad that my first hearing of this kind was against Joy and not someone more senior/knowledgeable.

I would've stumbled if she put her client in the box, but she didn't. However, I figured if she did, then we might not finish for the day, so I'd have some more time to prepare. Instead, we were forced into submissions straight away. I was first up. I had no plan, but what ended up happening was me trying to explain to her our case off the top of my head, half from my preparation, and half from what had gone into evidence during the day.

I think I did an ok job. I took my time to ask my informant stuff, which was good. I didn't panick. I think Joy may have done worse than me. God, and she told the cops we used to work together and that I taught her everything. So fucking embarassing. They must've been laughing at us.

As I sat down and listened to Joy and the mag's judgment, it was kinda like putting my feet up - my job was done, and all that was left was learning the result. The mag convicted on all charges except the make, said there was a "strong inference" but couldn't be satisfied. Oh well, good result.

I helped the cops carry some of the stuff back into their car in the rain. When I went back through the scanners, one of the cofficers was like "oh f..." because it meant he'd have to get up from his fucking chair. Wow, what an asshole. He even looks like an asshole. It's funny how some assholes actually look like assholes.

I was a bit surprised that the cops were hurrying off into the lift with Joy, as I went into the court to get my stuff. How about a proper thanks? Or asking me if I needed a lift??

I should also mention that during lunch, I went to Subway initially and then met up with Bush. We went to the Aldi store because she wanted some mustard sauce, and then we just walked around talking. We talked mainly about business. She said she was tired of her job and was thinking about going out on her own. I told her about my business ideas, like combining speed dating and fitness. Apparently I had already told her about my crazy free coffee idea.

Oh, and she was pregnant again. She was about to start with "hey don't tell anyone but..." and I was like "you're pregnant?" It was the first thing I noticed when I saw her come out.

Anyway, I caught up to Joy near the bank after court and we had a chat. She suggested coffee, but I really wanted to get back to the office, cause I was excited and I wanted to tell Mary and Nunjo all about it. I only stopped to speak to Joy to make sure there was no hard feelings.

I caught the train back to the city, made it back to the office at about 4:50pm. Told Mary and Nunjo about it in front of Nunjo's room. They could see I was excited. I said it was fun, and it really was, hehe. Maybe I was just glad I had won.

I was in my room catching up on my emails and Nunjo was on her way out. I was walking out of my room and we had a brief chat. She said "nice work", smiled and walked out. I couldn't help but feel that was a bit of a flirt.

Kainan: 2-4-1

I went into the office this morning to get some prep done for Tuesday's hearing. Got in there at 10am, made a lot of progress, and left at 1pm. I was about to go to the gym but realised I left my towel at home. Instead, I went to KFC and ate it at home watching Man vs Food :)

My parents came back just as I started to eat, which was sooner than I expected. After I finished eating, I pondered for a bit whether I could go to the casino or go whoring. But I told myself I wanted to be in the right mood for the game. I always find that if I gamble and lose the next bball game, I feel like I've let myself down, like my mind isn't all where it's supposed to be. I don't feel 'clean' for the game.

So I had a nap instead for a bit more than an hour. I woke up and left to meet Bo and Nick at Central. We caught the train together. Nick said he forgot his socks, so we had to call Jim to get a pair of socks, lol, but in the end we got a pair at Lidcombe. I also told them about my hearing on Tuesday to get their views, and wondered if the old guy sitting across from me was a judge.

Jim picked us up at the train station. When we got to the courts, Nick said he saw Sunny last week, and as I got out of the car, I started saying how I didn't like him and how he still owed me money. Then as I was going into the stadium, someone grabbed my arm - it was Sunny. Apparently he was coaching a girls team. Not sure if he heard what I had said, but I just wanted to get away from him.

It was just the four of us waiting before our game. The clock ticked down and it was still the four of us. I called MJ and he said he was five minutes away. Him and War came a few minutes before our game started. MJ immediately walked up to us and started a "hands in" thing and said "we're going to win this shit, ok?"

I thought, what the hell, you come late, have no idea what's going on, and tell us to win?

We got off to a good start, and I felt like the other team had already given up. War hit some outside shots, but later on I felt like the other team got their confidence back. It was as if they figured out we weren't all that good.

We were up by 10 at halftime, and maintained that lead for most of the game, UNTIL about five minutes left when War and MJ told me to slow it down. I didn't see the logic of slowing it down, especially since there was a 24 second shot clock, but I did it anyway. Then our lead dwindled. We made bad fouls, sending them to the line, when it was us who should've been going to the line.

Bo got fouled out earlier. He knew he had four fouls, and stupidly reached in as some guy drove past him. To me, he just gave up. He wanted out of the game, and that was his pass. I was disappointed in him.

Nick got fouled out as well, on a foul called for the cleanest block ever. Fark. So the rest of us barely held on for a seven point win.

I scored six points, on two jump shots and a fast break lay up when the other team passed it to me, thinking I was on their team.

I felt pretty good. My knee is feeling good, no pain or tiredness. I wonder if it is any coincidence that we have had such a successful fortnight when my knee is feeling good.

Afterwards we went to that Burwood place to eat the $10 meal. I was a little disappointed it wasn't as fun as last time, mainly because Mike wasn't there, but also Nick and Bo didn't seem to enjoy their food that much.

Jim was good enough to drive us back to the city, which was good cause I didn't want to get home too late.

I'm still thinking about Naby...starting to think about going back to her...

Shohoku 1-5 / Library guy's wedding

So Wednesday was the first game we played after I was voted to 'speak' during breaks in games. This of course came after One blew up at Angelo after the game.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened before the game, except during shoot around Angelo came over to me and said to me, almost asking (almost), whether he could switch to PG. I said sure, that was what I preferred anyway, and I think I may have even suggested that last season.

So he played PG, which turned out really well, because he passed it to me on the wing where I hit some shots. In total I scored eight points on jump shots and we won the game with some additional contributions from Mike and some strong rebounding from Nick. We also played decent defense.

It was a good win, especially against the Lizards, cause I still hate that fat ref. After the game, when we were doing hands in, Angelo said "captain, captain". I didn't know what he meant at first, but then realised he wanted me to suggest what we should say. I felt that he was doing it more out of sarcasm than anything. After the game his facebook status update was "and that's how you play pg". So he obviously took credit for the game.

I felt a bit shitty after the game because we had duty. Nick and Bo were doing it and Mike and I were just hanging around. My intention was to leave at halftime because it was late and I knew I'd be catching the train by myself, although I never told them. Then a ref left and one of us had to ref, and I was like "I was really planning to go, sorry" which sounded like utter bullshit.

On Friday I tried ignoring Nunjo, in an effort to be a 'challenge'. It just so happened that when I got to the office she wasn't in her room, so I didn't have to say good morning. I also had a counsel conference at 9:30am, and on top of that, a cop called saying he wanted something done immediately, which made me panic a bit as I needed to ask Mary and she was on the phone for a long time.

I paced around a bit in front of Nunjo's room but didn't say anything to her. I think she saw and must've wondered, because when I returned, I ended up going to her room to ask her about a photo Ogre had sent from her holidays (I was saying a face was visible from a wall, and wanted to see if anyone else could see it too).

She asked me where I had been and said she thought I was at court. We talked a bit, and she showed me a packet of Panda cigarettes Ogre had gotten her from China. I asked if I could take a photo of it, and she held it up and posed. Ogre said "of the cigarettes, not you". I may have been up to take a photo of her, but I had to get my phone from my room and so Ogre kinda killed it with that. Hmmm.

Later in the day I saw her in the photocopying room and we had another talk. I asked her if she'd been to the new Ikea at Tempe, and she said that's where she went on Tuesday. I was like "so that's why you took the day off". I had originally thought maybe she went on a date or something. She said she bought a bookshelf. I imagined some big handsome guy carrying it for her, so I asked if she lugged it by herself and she said yes and asked who else would have done it. I said something like "well, I have a Commodore too, and it's bigger". We kept talking about Ikea until Alex came in and sorta joined in the conversation. He revealed his partner was a 'she', which was surprising as I always thougth he was gay. Damn, even he can get a girl.

After work I met up with Ele. She emailed me saying she wanted to give me a discount card for Subway. When I met her, she showed me around the ground floor of her building, and in particular the garden. We talked a bit as we walked, but she had to go to the gym at 5:15pm, so I walked her there.

She was meeting that Chang guy's girlfriend. We went into the gym to sit and talk, and then she arrived. I think this was the first time she had seen me in a suit. She seemed maybe a little flirty. She said she thought I was a consultant, and then asked me to join their gym session.

Yesterday morning I met with Bo and Nick and we caught the train together for bball training. It was ok, teamed up with Jim and Gus. I took it easy and didn't play that hard or serious. My knee feels a lot better now, no aching pain after games, but I still have that mental fear, and that tightness in the front shin when I bend it backwards.

Nick got a bit agitated and I told him to take it easy cause it was only training. They went to eat once we returned to the city, but I had to go cause of library guy's wedding. I went to Dymocks to buy a card and also to look for Shaq's new book but was told that it's not out yet.

I went home, intending to shower and change then leave, but my mom was in the shower and she'd be a while. I grabbed my stuff and quickly drove out to the office. I had a shower and changed there - thank god for office facilities.

I drove off to the ceremony where I was about half an hour late. I thought I'd miss important stuff but when I got to the church, everyone was waiting and I saw library guy and Fam standing at the front. They waved to me as I took a seat to the left.

A lady from the other side kept looking over at me, I don't know why. After a while I thought maybe it was Emily but later confirmed it wasn't. I'd never been to a church wedding before, so it was pretty cool. I always pictured my wedding to be like this. As I watched the ceremony, I pictured myself with Nunjo or Naby at the altar.

It was a bit awkward afterwards, as I didn't really know anyone there and people seemed to hang around talking with snacks and drinks. Ha said hello to me but she and her boyfriend had other people to talk to. Fam introduced me to this really old guy, and the way he looked and the way he shook my hand just screamed pedophile.

There was still some time before the reception. I thought about driving back to the office to clean up the mess I made when I changed, but then realised I'd have to make another trip anyway to return my shoes. I thought about going whoring but sense kicked in.

So I parked in front of my old office and pondered for a bit. I took a walk around the block and thought about the times I used to walk here to get lunch.

At 6:30pm I drove off to the restaurant. As everyone takes a photo with the bride and groom, mine was a bit awkward as I was solo and had no partner. This gets kinda annoying.

I sat at the table by myself, eating peanuts and drinking coke while playing on my phone. I saw Suzanne and hoped she wasn't at my table. All I can ever think of with her is how I told Nav about how I thought some other chick was his girlfriend. Fark.

I sat by myself for a while before a couple arrived. The guy was quite talkative so that was good, but then his friend arrived and sat on the other side of me and I was wondering why he didn't sit in between us. He looked familiar, and he said he met me before but I couldn't really remember. He was by himself as well, so I wasn't alone anymore in that department.

More couples arrived, and John and his wife were the last to arrive. He asked me to switch seats so I could sit next to him, and so the fat guy and I changed seats and everyone was happy.

I talked to John and his wife throughout the night, it was a bit awkward when John pointed out there was a hole in my shirt, lol. Damn. I think my shirts are getting too tight, meaning, maybe I should stop with the gym for a bit.

Sometimes there'd be periods of silence where I didn't know what to say. I still felt comfortable with him, but just couldn't think of anything to say to him. We did question, however, why there was so much Indian dancing at the wedding. Like John said, it almost seemed like a Hindu wedding.

John said I should have a lot of money saved up because I don't gamble, drink, smoke or go out. If only he knew.

I was happy for library guy, but couldn't help but think about myself selfishly, wondering when it'd be my turn. I also wondered who my best man would be. I wondered, if Nunjo is the one, am I settling? She is about 33 now. By the time marriage takes place she'd be 35. Is she ok to have kids then?

I texted Jessica towards the end because I hadn't seen her, turns out she was in a corner table on the other side. We spoke a bit but she hurried off with her boyfriend, leaving me with this guy I seldomly see around at courts.

I then left the wedding and drove off. I had planned to go back to the office to collect my clothes, but figured going in at midnight would be kinda suss. I thought about going to Naby's shop or to see Hannah, and decided to go to Naby's shop. If she was in the line up, I'd pick someone else. I also wondered if I'd even be allowed in, as the forums show that recently some Korean shops had been closed as there was a crackdown on Korean girls working against their visa conditions. Seeing as I had left abruptly last time, they may have thought I was the one who started this whole thing, especially if they knew I was working for the government.

I didn't have any trouble going in. I saw a girl standing and she wasn't very pretty. I thought about how the standards had dropped. There was a customer waiting for her and he had a lot of acne on his face, and I thought about how I wasn't that bad of a client if guys were like him.

I was playing on my phone when I was shown two girls, and the guy asked me to put my phone away - I felt like I was at the casino. There was Candy and Bear Bear or something like that. I picked Candy, even though I didn't like how her hair was all orange.

We went up into the room, and all these memories of Naby came flooding back to me. There had been some changes, like new shower head and the bedding was different, creating more of a 'home' feel.

She wasn't very talkative at first, but then when she found out I was from HK, she said all HK boys are players. I told her I was a good boy. She said if I booked for an hour, then I wanted to talk. She was experienced I suppose. I asked her how long she'd been in Australia and she said 2 months. I asked her if she liked it and she said she didn't know because all she does is work. She said she doesn't like the Australian weather because it's either too hot or too cold.

She didn't dry me off completely before she asked me to lie down. She spent a lot of time doing the dragon drill. When I turned around, she spent a lot of time giving me head, making me think I was close to finishing right there and then. She got on top of me and rode me, before I asked to change because I didn't want to finish so early. I sat up and sucked on her breasts as she kept sliding back and forth. With a bit of physical prompting, she fell back adn I got on top - it was a manevure Naby used to do.

I sucked more on her breasts and then entered her. I liked hearing her moans everytime I would speed up. I slowed down when I wanted to last longer. Finally I held her really tight and she held me tight as well, and I finished.

I laid down and held her for a bit. She asked if I wanted to go again and have hand massage (whatever that meant) and I said no, I liked holding her. She asked me if this was my first time at the shop, and I said no, I used to come here a lot but only saw one girl. I said I liked her but she didn't like me. She asked me what her name was and I said it was a secret. She pleaded with me and said she'd keep it a secret but I really wasn't ready to reveal it. Who knows what would happen. But I did tell her I played basketball, so I wonder if they could figure it out like that.

I asked her if she liked her job, and she said she does it for the money. I asked her if it felt good, and she said sometimes, and added that I was good. She also said I was very strong, and asked if basketball was the only thing I did. I said gym as well, and she was kinda like "oh that's why", and kept feeling my side ribs.

I then asked her if she liked Angry Birds, and she was like "the game?" and I said yes. She said yes and told me she finished it and was playing another game, to do with cutting fruits or something.

I asked her if she could help me with Angry Birds, to get more than one star on one of the stages. I gave her my phone and she really got into it. One thing I learnt from her was that you can actually turn and shake your phone to make things fall, lol, wow, can't believe I learned that, and where I learned that.

She was so happy when she got me three stars, and did the next stage and got three stars as well. Even though her own timer was buzzing, she ignored it and kept playing. Afterwards we showered, and she said something about camera on my phone. I said no, and she even saw it for herself. She said some customers try to record it with their phones, and three had done it two weeks ago. I asked what happens if they are caught, and she said something about the security guards downstairs.

I left and waved goodbye to her at the bottom of the stairs. A part of me said maybe I could start doing this weekly again.

I woke up today with such a 'gambling' hangover. One of those "oh god, what did I do last night?" hangovers without the headache.

Although I used a cash advance to pay for last night, I guess I'll just take it as a celebration for doing another balance transfer earlier in the week.

Kainan 1-4-1

On Sunday I bummed around at home until my parents came back. Possibly out of boredom, while I was sitting on the loo, I finally decided to do something about our broken toilet paper holder.

I got a knife and started working and jabbing away at it, trying to loosen it from the wall. After a bit of effort, I managed to get it off. I measured it, 5cm between the two holes. Finding a toilet paper holder with two holes 5cm apart shouldn't be too difficult, right?

My parents still hadn't come back, so I did the same for one of the towel racks that was broken. 62cm between the two holes. Can't be that hard, right?

When my parents finally came back, I left almost straight away. This time I went to Bunnings first. By some miracle, I got exactly the same car spot despite it being even more busy this time round. To my disappointment, they only had one type of toilet paper holder, which didn't appeal to me. Their towel racks weren't that great either, so off I went to Ikea.

I was a bit hesitant about bumping into Marc. I mean, it seems kinda weird that someone would go to a shop like Ikea two days in a row. Anyway, I didn't see him. I checked out the toilet paper holders and towel racks for a while, but couldn't find anything fitting my measurements.

I then went to Supacenta, but they didn't really have any bathroom stores like I thought they would. I then went to the shopping centre near me to see if they'd have any bathroom stores and also to get lunch. They didn't, but I did end up getting some KFC home for lunch.

I didn't have enough time to finish it as Nick was picking me up at 4:40pm. It was the first time I'd been in a ute, lol. I found myself in a bit of a weird situation. I see myself as being pretty comfortable with him, but the conversation just wasn't flowing as it was with Bo. Maybe that's what we both like about Bo.

Don't get me wrong, we talked, about work, bball, Mike, but there were also periods of silence. At one stoppage on the road, a chick ran up to him from the car behind and told him his tail lights were out. I asked him if he knew and he said yes, lol.

We got to the courts fairly early, about 30 minutes early. Mike was already there, then Jim came. I was expecting MJ cause he said he'd be there, but he never showed up. We were facing a team with four. Luckily, Carter came, and even more luckily, the referee Kim allowed him to play for us.

We started with four and were down 2-15 while Carter changed. When he got onto the court, it was a different story. He did his usual, grabbing rebounds and running up the court, and did it all the way to bring us back to take the lead at halftime.

In the second half, they went man to man on us, and it rattled us a bit before we re-grouped. It went down to the wire really. We were down two with about 10 seconds to go. Jim called a time out. I told Nick to inbound, and Jim and I would set a screen for Carter to catch the pass.

I got the wrong side of the court, and Carter was about to inbound as I had been hushing for him to walk that way, then when I realised, for a split second I thought "ah screw it, just let him inbound", but then I insisted that Nick rebound and urged Carter to the other side of the court.

Jim and I set a double screen, which wasn't really what I meant. Carter ran past us, and his defender ran into the middle of us. Nick passed it to Carter and cut to the basket. Carter passed it to him, Nick shot it and hit only board. Jim got the rebound, hesitated, and put it back up. The ball laid on the rim for a bit before it...dropped!

I swear I jumped up and threw my fist like John Stockton. But there was still time. They ran it down and the athletic guy took a three. I jumped forward for the block, and nicked his wrist. No call. Airball. Tie game.

Woooooooo!!! I was so happy! I was happy we didn't lose, and I was happy the play I called had worked.

According to the stats, I contributed four points. Not sure if that's right. I only scored on free throws, but it seemed like I only hit 2 or 3 free throws.

We went to Burwood for dinner afterwards with Mike, Carter and his girlfriend. As expected, the conversation was in two groups, although Mike was the medium man here.

I was actually quite proud of Jim. Like I said to Nick, he had redeemed himself in my eyes, as I always thought he was a bit soft. But not only did he hit the tying shot, but he called a smart time out, and predicted a play the other team would make.

It was good to have dinner after a non-loss. I really enjoyed myself at that time. There was a funny bit when I asked Mike who the guy was in that half naked photo of him, and he said something like "that guy, we are a little bit more than just friends", LOL! That made us all laugh, haha. Idiot.

Nick drove me back home, which was good cause it saved me a bus ride and lots of time.

Today, I said good morning to everyone except Nunjo. I noticed she was wearing something which revealed her upper back. I wonder if I had anything to do with it. Then when I made a later pass across her room, she was now facing her door, and I wondered if it was her trying to get my attention. Paranoid.

I had court in the morning, filling in for Steve. After that I went back to the office. At lunch I bought a potato salad and some lollies from the Asian grocery store. I went to give Nunjo one. I felt like maybe she was in a rush, but we ended up talking about Man vs Food and deep fried beer before her phone rang.

After I ate my lunch, I showed her a video that Malay showed me before of "epic" sushi. I got the vibe she was in a rush but she didn't say anything. Sure enough, she left soon after for court.

I found myself thinking about her a little bit more than usual. I felt like I almost couldn't control myself and had to go talk to her. But I knew I'd come off as either annoying or desperate, so I refrained.

At the end of the day, as she walked out she said goodbye. I said "seeya...Nunjo". She took a few more steps before turning around and smiling, "that's not very origianl" and walked out. I think I heard her tell Mary she wasn't coming in tomorrow. Wonder why she didn't tell me.

Helping Ele move (25/10/11)

Yet another post which I should've done long ago. Now I can't remember much about it.

It was a Tuesday night and Ele had asked if I was free to help her move, so naturally, I said yes.

I met up with her, Evonne, Yang and his friend at a restaurant in Chinksford. Yang's friend was a fob, it was a bit hard to understand his English. The dinner was kinda rushed, because we had to make time for the actual moving. I sat next to Evonne, who seemed more interested in playing with her phone, but did engage me whenever I spoke Cantonese.

I caught Yang looking at his watch, I understood he was in a hurry, but I thought he could've used more tact. We finished up, and I didn't have to pay, which was what I had thought anyway - this was my 'payment' for helping them move.

We drove to their place. They had everything packed in boxes, and we started loading up my car. I didn't like putting so much weight on my car, as I don't want my car to look 'lowered', but I thought I'd make this rare sacrifice for Ele.

We packed it full, then drove both cars to their new place. Yang's friend didn't have a car, which made me wonder why he came to help. The boxes were actually heavier than I expected, especially the ones with books. I hurt my back a bit as I was walking down the stairs carrying them, but soldiered on.

Their new place is quite nice. Not sure about the location, and it is kinda small. But it's still better than anything I have (which is nothing, really). Moving the stuff into their new place was a task in itself.

We made a few trips back and forth, and later on Eddy and Keyra joined in, which helped a bit.

I remember at one stage, I felt like I was taking orders from Yang. Maybe he was in a rush, or maybe he had started to get annoyed at me hanging out with his wife so much. I don't know. But I withheld it.

Needless to say, I was pretty tired at work the next day. I read a thread on the old punting forum about girls being deported. I pretended Naby had been deported - that would make it a lot easier to deal with, mentally.

I got the feeling that Clare might be looking to change jobs. She keeps saying how it'd be good to work at LAC, and she seems disgusted by our work. I think changing jobs would be good for her in the end (say, after a few years) but I'm selfish and I want her to stay cause she's quite a nice and easy going person.

Blinds / Ele's house warming

Just came back from the courts, as I had really wanted to work on my shot, and get my groove/confidence back. Warmed up with suicides, then the usual free throws and around the world, then made 10 dribbling jump shots from each elbow, and finished with making 10 threes from the elbow arc.

So altogether, I made myself hit 30 shots. Probably nothing near 110 I used to do, but these days I have to watch out for my knee, although I do intend to do 110 again in the offseason and festive holidays.

It felt good, especially when I was hitting my threes. I feel more confident heading into today's game, which we're expected to lose because somehow out of our full roster of 10 players, only four or five can show up. SMH.

Yesterday morning I took the car to go look for blinds. I went to the Supacentre first, was kinda surprised all the shops were only opening at around 9am. You'd think they'd be a bit more desperate for business. I found a blinds shop and went in to ask, got a quote for $280 custom made blinds as they don't do my width (117cm) anymore, which is true, because everywhere else I went they were all 120cm.

The old guy had this posh demeanour about him, and so was probably very annoyed when he unrolled my blinds only to see it break in half and get his hands full of dust. I did consider it, but $280 was just too much. This had to be a last resort, so I left.

I then headed to Ikea, thinking if I didn't find the right blinds, I'd buy Ele a house warming gift anyway. I went to check out the blinds, and they were all either 90cm or 120cm, which was shit because they had really nice blinds for reasonable prices ($80). I asked for help and the girl was very helpful, but like I said to her, I was "asking for the impossible" - 117cm blinds inside the recess.

I had spotted some nice rugs earlier, so got that for Ele. It was a white, bear fur rug for $69. Better than a box of wine glasses which was my original idea. The only concern was whether she already had something like this. I took the risk anyway.

As I was walking to the checkout, I got hit on the arm. It was Marc! He was helping someone with something, so I hung around till he was free. He came over and we chatted a bit. He told me he was doing this until the teaching session started, as he was to become a teacher after just finishing his studies. We joked about us giving teachers shit in high school and now he was going to get it. I kinda waited for him to ask me how I'd been and ask what I was doing, but that never came.

I knew he'd had a scare with cancer, and I kinda wanted to talk about that, but didn't want to bring it up, so it never came up. After a bit, he said he had to get back to work and he showed me the cloest way out (he said that was the most popular question, lol).

I then went to Bunnings to look for blinds, although I wasn't very hopeful. Had a bit of problem looking for a parking space, and then found one right in front of the entrance.

I went straight to the blinds area and after a bit of searching, found ones that were exactly like the ones I had, only they were either 90cm or 122cm...grrr!!!

I wasn't sure if the 122cm included the holders or not, so decided to take a risk and bought it. They said I could get a refund anyway if it didn't fit. Besides, it was only $20.

I was pretty excited, lol. I went home to see if the bar fit and...it didn't. However, I got the idea to just rip the old blind off, keep the bar, and stick the new blind on after cutting it.

I did a nonchalant job of cutting it, which resulted in one side looking like utter crap, but did a fairly well job otherwise of getting the new blind onto the old bar, with a bit of help from my dad as he cut the plastic thing at the bottom.

And just like that, I did a bandaid job of replacing my blinds - tada! All for $20. And to think, this could've cost me $280 - SMH.

After that, I left home again to go to Ele's house warming. She called me like four minutes after noon, which was the meeting time, to ask where I was. I thought this was one of those events where everyone can be late, but apparently not. I told her I was stuck in traffic (which I was) and said I'd be there in 20 minutes.

When I got there, I was greeted by Evonne and Ele. I gave them the bear rug, and Ele said she really liked it, because she wanted to buy this when she went to Ikea. She even joked that I went to kill a bear myself to get it.

A few days ago, she had her facebook status as something about the other person not doing the things you enjoy, which I took as a hint of a problem with her husband. It did make a bit of sense - I think I've been to a few activities now where I've 'replaced' her husband - think amazing race and Teddy Bears' picnic. I wondered if she realised another 'connect' when I gave her the rug which she had wanted.

Colin was there, which was a bit of a relief because I wasn't sure if I could talk to anyone else there. Evonne seemed like she wanted to hang around me, bringing me food, sitting next to me. But I realised she didn't have her make up on, which made her look totally different. It made me think of Naby. I'm sure she looks quite average without make up.

I was sitting on the couch eating and talking with Colin, then played some video games with Yang. Ele was making some cheese bread, and we decided to fill one with chilli powder as a prank on Colin, lol.

Played a bit more video games with Yang, now it was soccer instead of Street Fighter. Then went over for some more food. Colin didn't end up eating the chilli one, it was too big and he said he wanted a small one, lol. Damn.

Colin left at 2pm, which kinda sucked. I ended up playing mahjong with Yang, that nerdy looking guy and his hot girlfriend (which still irks me). I played one game, then said I had to go to return my car to my dad, but really I just wanted to leave because my stomach wasn't feel very well. It felt like I could let out this explosive fart at any moment. Ele was in her room with Jessica for most of the time, I wonder what was up.

Yang walked me out, and we talked about seeing eachother at fishing the next day (which was cancelled later that night, as the organiser had booked the wrong date - SMH).

Anyway, so I went home, had a bit of a nap, thinking about how to get a business started.

Nunjo

Lately at work I have been feeling really restless. Don't know why. Just don't have that motivation to do anything. I find myself staring at my email screen a lot of the times, rotating between that and checking my calendar, and then checking facebook on my phone. Maybe I've hit "the wall" for this branch, since I've been here about a year now.

Anyway, last Thursday I mentioned to Nunjo that I had a sentence the next day, then went out to lunch, came back and found a suitcase in my room. At first I thought I had entered the wrong room, I checked, and sure enough, it was my room. I recognised the suitcase as the one that was in Nunjo's room.

When she returned, I asked if she put it in my room and she said yes, because I havea sentence the next day. I thought that was kinda thoughtful of her - is that a sign?

Yesterday I did an accidental flirt - her and Sue-Ellen were talking about sending me to some place far for a mention. Sue-Ellen left, and I said I'd do it, and joked that we could both go do it. She said there would be things to do there, and I said "there are many things we could do there"...ummm...on a wrong interpretation that could've been sexual harassment.

Today I saw her in the photocopying room, and I said "Nunjo", I think the first time I have called her that. She started telling me about how another lawyer had made her angry.

Later in the day, I went into her room to ask her a work related question, and I started with "Nunjo", and she said that's what the girls called her in Darwin.

Me: Is it because of the photocopier?

Her: Yes.

Me: And I thought I was being original.

It was raining pretty hard, and I said she could take my umbrella. She said it was ok, and we went back and forth about it, but in the end she really didn't want to take it. I noticed as we talked (for a moment Mary was with us) that she had a sense of humour. Maybe I was a bit horny, but I was thinking about taking her right there and then on the table.

She also asked if she had told me about how another lawyer had made her angry. If she can't remember that she told me that earlier, then really, how much could she possibly like me?

I can't help but think about her in romantic ways whenever I talk to her or see her. I do notice that sometimes she looks over at me. Like this morningg we had a meeting with the union, and for a sec, we made eye contact as we sat five seats apart.

Hmmm. Too bad she's older. Too bad she smokes.

Battle: Los Angeles

Saturday
Chest and 8 min abs workout with Malay and Thai.
Pick up Brain, went to new Ikea, breakfast, shared ideas, fitness and games ideas.
Went to Wick for Brain to get phone, wanted calls to include overseas but didn't make overseas calls.
Went home, met with Bo and Nick at courts near me. Half expecting Bo with Swedish girl. Nick was late, Bo and I did some driving drills, then did same drill with Nick, came up with a play. Warmed up with suicides.
Sat in the shade and talked for a bit.
Went home to nap, woke up with really painful cramp in left quad.

Sunday
Watched Battle: Los Angeles, went to gym, had KFC lunch at home, met with Bo at Redfern, just missed train, had to change for buses, late for duty.
Close loss, afterwards Jim, Bo, Nick and I went to Central courts for training, played with a few guys and a girl, I said yes straight away when girl asked. More training after that which was really good.

Today
Focus group, paid $100. Bought tofu for mom and sister.

Hana = Monica (20/10/11)

This post is long overdue; I made rough notes but never got around to writing an entry for it. I wonder if it is a sign of my degree of interest in Hana.

Anyway, on 20 October 2011, I saw DC in Court. He came over to chat with me and my other side while we were waiting for Court to start and was his usual chatty self. I watched as he took a seat at the bar table and offered people on both sides a cup of water, lol. He is so...'DC'.

I felt bored and restless at work. I thought about gambling and punting. I had taken my credit card to work. My plan was that if TEN didn't announce dividends, then I would sell those shares and go punting - revenge on Naby was on my mind.

Although TEN didn't make any announcements, gambling reasoned with me to go anyway. I withdrew $800, played numbers, lost $600 and then went to my old usual massage place.

I got there at about 6:30pm, and was shown to a waiting room. I waited a while, ad even though about leaving. After about 15 minutes, I was asked if I was waiting for the 7pm shift, which was one thing that had come to mind, so I said yes.

When 7pm rolled around, I was shown a few girls. The second girl, without my glasses, looked familiar, and sounded very familiar. Her name was Monica. I thought she seemed a lot like Hana.

After being shown the rest of the girls, I decided to go with Monica just out of curiousity. I waited a bit of a while before she came to show me to the room. I went to the bathroom and then returned. I was standing behind her as she was unpacking her things. I decided to take my chances and went to her right and asked her if she remembered me.

She looked a bit stunned, and then said yes.

It WAS her!

She broke out in a bit of shy laughter. She asked me how I'd been, and how my leg was. I was like "you remember?" and she said yes, although she forgot which leg. I said it was good, although two weeks ago I banged it in basketball and now it wasn't so good, and she frowned.

As we both stripped, we talked about our last visit. She even remembered the room number (13) and she said it was about a year ago. I honestly couldn't remember how long ago it was. I asked her what she had done in Korea, she said she studied, and graduated. She said I looked the same and said I looked good.

When we went into the shower, she told me that she has had another customer recognise her and asked her if she was Hana and she said no and kept insisting she was Monica. I wonder if this was her way of saying I was 'special'.

We went onto the massage table and got the usual massage, although I noticed she stayed away from bending my legs. We didn't talk much, and when she gave me the pillow I said "peigei" and she was a bit surprised, but I told myself to stop revealing evidence of the fact that I frequent Korean girls enough to learn a few words.

When I turned around, she started to slide and let me suck on her nipples. She used her knees to do the finish and then her hand. I noticed she was looking into the mirror, either at herself or me, but avoided direct eye contact with me.

Afterwards I laid there, thinking. From the beginning of the session till now, I couldn't help but think that we had a little bit of fate. But on the other hand, if she is always working at the shop, and you visit the shop, there is a good chance you'd see her. Nothing about fate in that.

She asked me why I was so quiet and I just said I didn't know. She gave me a facial and then stood to my side, talking to me. She told me she had been travelling around Australia with her friends, driving around. She told me Northern Territory was scary, so at night they always stayed inside the hotel. I asked if she went with any guys and she said no, that she didn't have a boyfriend. I didn't really ask if she had a boyfriend, so again wondered if that was a sign.

After we showered and got changed, I asked her if she knew of Angry Birds and she said yes. I showed it to her phone and gave her a go. Because the buzzer had already gone, I wanted to pull away after her first bird, but she held onto it and finished the round. It felt like she wanted to play more. I told her I had actually been waiting since 6:30pm so I had been playing that, and then she joked that I was an Angry Bird, lol.

I asked if she had had dinner and she said yes, and she asked me back. I said no and that I was going to have KFC. She said she loved the Twister, which I remembered. She also tried to tell me something else at KFC she liked, but couldn't explain it.

I walked out and indeed had KFC.

I had thought about seeing her on a regular basis, but now, it's been a bit more than two weeks since I saw her. I don't know. I remember back then, I had implemented my plan to see her regularly so I could ask her out, but she ended up returning to Korea. Now, I wasn't so sure. Her job made me hesitate. That was despite me being willing to go out with Naby even though her job is a lot 'worse'.

Maybe I will see her soon...

"...but in the end it's right..."

"It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life."

This song was playing on the radio in the photocopying room, and I pretended to be busy so I could stand there and listen to the whole of it. It made me think about Naby...walking out was "unpredictable, but in the end it's right". I pictured the song playing as she watched me walk out...
