Nurse lady sighting
Took my time getting to work today, just because I felt like it. I still got there at 8:30am.
I had lunch with Stanley today, my shout because he got the last one. We went to the Japanese restaurant near my office. I actually wasn't looking forward to it, because I felt like it interrupted my routine of going for a run or going to the gym, but it actually wasn't that bad. He asked me if I was out meeting girls, and when I said no he suggested that I volunteer for his concert to meet girls that way. At first I thought it was a good idea, but then I have a feeling he has an ulterior motive to get me involved with the triads. So I backed myself off that idea.
We went to check our Rebel after lunch because I need a new basketball. I saw Katie and Yoshi just as we were going down the escalator.
I finished my 11th brief today and got started on my 12th. Late in the afternoon I went out to get those little sweet pastry things that looks like a character, but they didn't have any so I bought a box of chocolates. I gave some out to people at work. I find that the admin ladies close to me really appreciate it. Lisa just seems like she'll eat anything.
I gave one to Karina and had a chat with her. I dropped one off at Rat's desk and managed to do only that without stopping for a 10 minute conversation. I gave one to Alanna when I asked her a couple of questions. She ate it right away, lol. I thought she'd be a bit reluctant because of the calories.
She later came to my room to talk about a matter, and had rested her face in her palm in a way that seemed like she was trying to hide something. I had this suspicion that maybe the chocolate had some sort of special effect?
Late in the day, I went to the photocopy room to get a print out and heard footsteps walking out. I thought it would be Kim, and started smiling. But it was Katie. She looked at me defensively, and I could understand why Emma had said something about Katie, but I just dismissed it as her being nervous and not knowing how to act around me given what has happened.
Rat came into my office to ask for my opinion about her matter, but I reckon she just wanted a chat. She kept it short though, probably because we saw the boss walk past, lol.
I grabbed my gym bag and caught the bus home. When I got onto the bus, the only seat left was one near the back. As I walked towards the back, who do I see? None other than nurse lady. We made very brief eye contact before I turned around to sit in front of her. I was stoic for the whole trip. I knew we'd get off at the same stop and intended to get up first so she wouldn't think I was following her. But just as I started making movement to get up, she quickly went ahead of me, cutting me off.
I wonder if it was her way of trying to get my attention, or her way of ignoring me in return. In any case, I noticed some pimples on the left side of her face, and also the lack of ring on her wedding finger. Guess things aren't so dandy for her.
I went to the gym tonight, my arms are soooo tired. I've been doing curls everyday since like Sunday or Saturday? Fuck. I went to get petrol and enjoyed the drive.
