Lunch walk

Bumped into GS at the train station today, so we went to get a morning coffee together. Had a really good chat about the weekend, the football, and was really intrigued when he started telling me about his other murder cases. I noticed that the attractive brunette at the cafe wasn't there.

Nothing much happened in terms of court. I went to see the client and had a chat with him about nothing really. Just talk about religion and women. When I finished I went with Rom Rom and Kate to watch PL in court, but that ended in morning tea. Bush called me, thinking she saw me, but I told her it wasn't me because I was on level 2. We organised to meet up downstairs at the registry. She had to get something from the court file there.

Afterwards we went for a drink at the cafe. I shouted her the drink, because I was feeling generous. We talked about my prospects at the DDP, even though there wasn't really anything she could do about it. I felt selfish talking about myself when she was in such an important stage in her life, so I asked her about her pregnancy. I am actually quite excited about that. She is starting to show.

She introduced me to some people from her office, one of which was a girl who went after me in the interview.

After that I went back to court, and shortly went to lunch with Kate, Rom Rom, Twish and the French girl. Rom Rom had pretty much given me her camera for the day to take photos, so I was taking some while we were eating at Oporto's.

After lunch we went for a walk to the chocolate shop where the French girl bought some coffee and chocolate. Then everyone except Twish went for a walk around the river. Midway through I realised I was busting to go to the toilet, and so it annoyed me when I suggested we take a shorter route but Kate wanted to take the longer one to extend the walk. That aside, it was pretty good to go on a peaceful walk with them.

I caught the train back to the city with Twish. Then I caught the bus home and bummed around for a while, thinking about Ele. I think I fell asleep until the phone rang. It was some lawyer, I think I'll call him back tomorrow. I couldn't help it but send a message to Ele:

I am sure that if you can do a good job while your manager is away, this will be seen as a positive by your company - add fuel!

It's not really something you can reply to, so I'm not expecting one. But that hasn't stopped me from checking my phone from time to time hoping for one.

I went to the gym earlier as well, did some abs, weights and cycling.
