Kram at the casino
This morning I woke up and washed my car. Haven't washed it for a long time, and could see some black dirty marks had stubbornly made their way onto the bonnet, which needed to be scratched off with my fingernail. Also noticed a scratch on the driver's door, looks like someone has opened their doors into my door. Grrr.
After that I went back up and napped for a bit. I woke up later and headed out to the casino. I found a table where the dealer was an Asian girl I had never seen before. I soon figured out she was new, as she struggled at times with the calculations of the pay outs. She was kinda cute though, although probably a bit too much make up. If I had to guess, I'd say she was Vietnamese.
Sometimes she would verbally say something to herself or look at her watch as if she couldn't wait for her shift to be over. I did say at one stage after she made a large pay out "it gets easier". She didn't say anything in response but thereafter we would look at each other at times and smile, almost laugh, as if we both understood what she was going through.
I was down at first, and was even close to reaching into my wallet for the $1200 as the last of my $800 were on the table, but luckily I won that spin and slowly crawled my way back up. I thought she would change shifts soon but surprisingly she was there for a while.
When the change came, the new dealer was the Phillipino looking guy I had yesterday. I won a bit more with him and sat around, looking around. Then I spotted Kram, walking in a suit with his wife. I kept looking at him just to make sure until he saw me and smiled. I walked over and we exchanged a few words, and he looked at my chips and asked if I was up a bit. I laughed and said yeah a bit, and then we parted.
I was ashamed and embarassed he saw me, for fear it'd get out that I was a gambling addict. But then I figured, he'd only seen me here once, and he was from interstate. Surely that wouldn't make me a gambling addict? Although I did have like $1200 in chips at the table, so maybe the value is a hint. Hmmm.
Anyway, I played until there was another dealer change, to the old man I had been seeing recently and who cleaned me out at lunch last week. I was thinking about leaving, and then an old woman sat next to me and started coughing. That was a good enough excuse to leave, so I cashed in. $1270 profit.
I called the shop and asked if Sugie was working, and the guy said yes. I made a booking and walked there. The guy half jokingly said the price was $2500. I've always said that a lot of truth is said in jest - I think the shop is struggling a bit.
She remembered me but didn't remember my name, thinking it was James or something. She did remember my occupation though, typical. We showered and just like last time, she started with a massage. I was actually quite enjoying it, given how tired my legs were after five hours of basketball yesterday. Then we moved onto sex and that finished quite quickly.
We started talking about playing a bit of games on our phones. She showed me this game called NR Shooter. I thought it was a bit shit at first, but after leaving the shop, I found it to be quite addictive. I asked her out to dinner and she said yes, but we didn't reach any definitive date. She asked me when my days off were, and I told her the weekend but added that I could take a day off work if she gave me notice. I think she's interested, but I remember that massage girl who said the same thing and never came out.
We showered together afterwards and after I left, I went for some KFC. It was pretty damn good lol.
And so, with today's win, I've made back my recent losses and then some. I've also decided to change my spread sheet so that every month I start my balance all over again. If I don't, it will always be in the back of my mind that I have x amount to play with, which means all my winnings will be at stake. Also, this way it makes me play more cautiously at the beginning of each cycle as technically I'm on a zero balance.
