Dinner with GS and DC

On Friday I went to the office to do a bit more cleaning up. I have now cleaned up everything except for the secret stuff in the safe. Pretty proud of myself. It took a while.

I drove back to the city to drop off some stuff for GS, went home, then caught the bus back out to meet GS and DC. I met GS first, and we stayed at the bottom of his office for a while waiting for DC. DC suggested we wait in the bar nearby, and when GS and I went in, we could both tell it wasn't for us, so we went back out to the seats to talk.

A while later DC turned up, and we all started walking to the restaurant. I had no idea where we were going so I just followed along. DC and GS spent the walk talking mainly about DC's case next week and PL's case.

We walked through the city to a small street filled with lots of restaurants, a place I had never even known about. It had quite a good mood to the whole thing. We walked into the wrong place at first, and then walked next door to the pizza place that GS had wanted.

It was a small restaurant, and the way the tables and chairs were all squashed together made it look even smaller. We got a small table for the three of us, and I was kinda relieved that they didn't bring their partners. I think that figured it would've been awkward for me, both socially and because I didn't have a girl to bring.

They both ordered a pizza and I had a pasta. We talked mainly about the case, and DC gave up some pretty juicy "theories" about the case and why some of the clients got hammered so bad by the judge. Kinda makes you think twice about asking for stuff and consequently having secret statements handed up. Also talked a bit about my new job, and GS said I could call him if at anytime I needed help. How nice of him.

We had dessert there as well, and afterwards we split cause GS had to walk back to his office and DC and I caught a cab home. While we were standing around trying to flag one down, we saw this guy who we had seen in court before. I had always thought he was a police pro, but DC said he was the guy who just hung around court all the time doing nothing, lol.

The taxi dropped DC off first, and I told him not to worry about the fare, so I paid for it when it dropped me home.
