Transformers 3

I drove to Petersham this morning at around 9am to buy Secrets of the Jury Room from someone G found on ebay. I got there early and waited in my car a bit, listening to Eminem's new CD Hell: The Sequel. I read the lyrics to the songs, and as always, I was amused at how clever he and other rappers can be.

After a few songs I decided it was time. I approached a two storey house at first, but that was apparently next door. The owner certainly didn't seem like they needed the money from an $8 book. Next door looked a bit more like it - the entrance was a little unkept, and the front was a bit old.

I pressed the bell and shortly after an old lady (just as I expected) opened the door. She greeted me and thanked me for being patient, and went to get the book from a table just inside the house. She said to come in. Even though I had told myself not to (those stories of strangers on the news being bludgeoned suddenly came into my mind) I took a mini-step towards her. She handed me the book and I gave her a $10 note and said not to worry about it. She said in a bit of a pedantic voice that it mattered, and gave me $2, saying it could get me half a coffee. I told her I actually had the book but lent it to my boss and forgot to get it back when I left the job.

I then left and went back to my car, and enjoyed the drive listening to more of the new CD. My initial plan was to go home and then go to the gym - but then I realised I could just go straight away, since I had already gotten my gym bag from the office earlier.

So I did, figuring if I went home (which there was no need for) then I'd be late to meet Ele and co. I drove to the Wick and parked in the shopping centre. I took a quick glance at the dry cleaners and saw it was the older lady. She saw me look and must've been wondering wtf.

I cycled, did the benchpress, curls and abs at the gym. The last three doing four sets again. I then got changed and went home to return the car. I got a lift off my dad to the city.

Ele called me shortly after I got out of the car, and said she would be about 15 minutes late, and that only her and Yang were coming. I then realised that there woudlnt' be much of a group - Brain, Colin and I. I questioned my 'star power' to bring people together.

I went to Market City and walked around a bit before I spotted Colin. I greeted him and we started talking. He said his friend Bruce was also coming. Brain arrived shortly after and I introduced them to eachother. We chatted for a bit about Colin's new job before his friend Bruce arrived.

Then we went up to the Chinese restaurant in case we needed to wait. Indeed we did. As we waited, I talked to Brain and Colin and Bruce talked to eachother. After the initial catch up, I found Brain to be boring vanilla again.

After a while we were given a table right close to the entrance, which was good I suppose, because it'd be easy for Ele to find. We started ordering some dishes and talked a bit before Ele and Yang finally arrived.

It was a good meal. Some observations:

- that Bruce guy seems to exhibit some of the traits of a criminal. Ele mentioned his friend going to the casino, getting $5,000 worth of chips and not really caring if he lost or not because it wasn't his money. Then he said he was thinking of starting a business selling plastics or something. Like yeah, very innovative. Sounds like the typical drug case.

- Ele is really good at balancing conversations. It seems like if she finds someone to be quiet, or hasn't talked for a while, she'll try to get them involved, although I don't think even that helped Brain.

- Colin talks really, really loud. Not only that, but he really borders on being a racsist. He was saying (loudly) that Australians could not handle our chilli sauce, lol. I looked around and saw an Australian guy looking at us. God I wish he'd lower it down a little.

- I ate a lot of the vegetables, mainly because no one else seemed to eat it.

Colin had to go to work, so we finished at about 2pm. We were waiting on the change and it was funny watching Colin get impatient, lol. He hurried off when we left, and then we walked halfway to the cinema with Bruce before he left.

So Ele, Yang, Brain and I went to the cinema. We saw a huge line for the tickets, and then Ele said she knew how to get the tickets. She pointed to the VIP queue, and I said you had to book online first. She said to follow her so we reluctantly followed her. Turns out she went to the food area and she said tickets could be bought there. I was seriously doubting her and was prepared to be rejected.

We lined up and Ele walked away for a moment, and Yang and I had to plead with her to come back because neither of us knew you could buy tickets from there. So she came back, tried unsuccessfully to use the voucher, and then bought the tickets there.

It was AMAZING!!!

Yang and I were so surprised. Yang started calling out "dodgy" and I joined in, lol. But I was very impressed. She was very clever.

That probably saved us the entire movie, as I doubt we would've gotten tickets at all if we lined up.

We went to the bathroom first before going into the cinema. We sat in the fifth row. Although it was designated seating, when we got to our seats, it wasn't like we sat where our tickets said - instead, Ele told us where to sit. Yang sat on the aisle, then her, then me then Brain. I thought it was somewhat of an ironic symbol.

I didn't take much of a liking to the new girl in the trailer, but she was quite hot in the movie. Or at least, she had a hot body. Not so keen on her face. But everytime I saw her, I just thought "this is what money can buy you". I don't know why people keep denying it, but money can buy you beautiful women.

The movie was ok, maybe 6 or 7 out of 10. I found myself to nearly fall asleep in the middle, maybe because I was tired, or maybe because it was just something that's already been done in the previous two movies. Ele kept asking me questions during the movie. Sometimes I said I didn't know. Sometimes I wondered why she didn't ask her husband.

I also wondered about G's jealousy issues with his girlfriend. Shuing had sent me a message earlier about it. I wondered if G would be jealous if Sally kept asking me questions like Ele did. I'm sure it would. But here, was Yang feeling anything? Anything at all?!? It sure didn't seem to affect him, and I guess that's what's admirable about him. Or one could say he's a bit of a dumbass for not knowing I like Ele.

We pretty much parted after the movie. I think Brain wanted to go check out DJ's Industrie since Yang had said earlier there was a sale ending tomorrow. So we went there while Ele and Yang went to look for a warm cup holder.

I was in the "I'll buy something if it's really cheap" mood when shopping, but nothing much appealed to me, except one black tie, but it was $198. Yikes.

I had Brain try on a suit, since he said he wanted a slim fit one. That's when I realised that no matter how well the suit fitted him, he still needed the body to fill it. His chest was completely flat, and it just made the suit look too big for him, even though it was a good fit around the waist. Damn, I can't wait until I've paid off this damn credit card so I can start getting decent suits, wallets and ties.

After that we just parted and went home. On the bus I decided to reply to Shuing's message. I said "send me", knowing full well he wouldn't. He said something about client confidentiality. I pressed a bit further and said I sent him Patrick's emails, which really, is fair enough. But he still refused - which is what I wanted.

I wanted to show him, and set up for later, that there was NO FUCKING POINT in telling me to join these 'interventions' if you're NOT GOING TO TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!!

I'm getting tired of him sitting at home analysing everyone else's life to bits. Maybe he should look at himself. Maybe he shouldn't spend so much energy on us. Maybe he should do something more productive.

Anyway, now I have the perfect excuse not to go to these 'interventions'. I'm just going to say I don't know what's going on, so no point. What's the point of having me go if he's not going to tell me? It's like telling me he knows a secret, but he can't tell it to me. Fuck's sakes.
