Sunday comp: 3-5
"I blame it all on you
I'm lost - God save me..."

I won $450 on Saturday night. I lost $100 Sunday morning.
On Sunday, I chucked a couple of jail visits. I first went to Parra to see a client who is really starting to bug me. After that I went to the shopping centre nearby and bought myself a white shirt and two ties. I needed a white shirt because all the ones I have have been coloured pink by mixing other clothes in the wash, and I was after a purple tie but the one I wanted came in a pack which included another tie.
I then went to see HK client just to give him an update as to what was happening. He said a triad member, who I saw once but then he decided to keep his current lawyer, wanted to hire me to look after his legal affairs. This guy's gonna be in jail for the next 16 years or so, so he wanted someone to take care of his 'legitimate' businesses. His offer was that an office and everything would be provided, and I'd get $3,000 a month and any business I bring in on top of that would be split.
I told HK client I would think about it, but that was pretty much a lie. There's no way I'm going to associate myself with the triad and become one of those lawyers like Fab who gets involved with their clients.
Anyway, I went home to change and headed off to bball. We played the team currently at the bottom of the ladder. I can never figure out why this team is doing so badly. They have the right (maybe perfect) combination of small and big guys, they have a star on their team (top scorer of last season), they have another guy who is pretty good and acts as a second go-to option, and they have no one who is absolutely shit. They should be doing a lot better than they are.
They started with four players, and we got off to an early lead. I called two of our plays we had been practising, and both worked to perfection. By the time their fifth guy arrived we had built a pretty good solid lead.
I scored four or six points, but the most impressive was when I got an interception at the three point line and took only two dribbles to get to the other end of the court! Fark, when was the last time I ran that fast?
We had everyone except Nik and Dunnycan, but mainly that was because Mike told everyone the wrong game time. Nik said he had to work and Dunnycan came at the time Mike said only to watch us play out the last five seconds, lol.
After the game I went to the casino. I won $150. But I remember eating dinner there and watching the last five minutes of the Rockets-Jazz game. Man, McGrady's going to have another first round exit. I can feel it.
On Monday morning I went to the casino. Can't remember whether I won or lost. I then went home and got ready for my x-ray. While I was at the clinic, I flipped through a women's magazine (btw, why aren't there any magazines for men??) and realised just how much the media contributes to everyone's traits of superficiality and materialism.
I then went to the post office to pay off my credit card, and then went to the bank to deposit a bunch of coins I had been saving up.
I headed home, got changed and went to an internet cafe to read up on the firm again that I was going for a second interview for. The guy told me that they had narrowed it to six candidates and that all twelve had put in an essay (I thought I'd be the only one). I don't think I stuffed up the interview, but it was quite quick. I wonder if I'll be chosen out of the six. He said I'd find out on Thursday.
I probably shouldn't have, but I went to work just to catch up on some stuff. Sometimes Rod and I go out to grab a drink in the late afternoon, and I can't help but feel that it's kinda like how Alan Shore and Denny Crane are always on the balcony at the end of the day chatting.
After work, I went to the casino and lost $200. I was actually up $100, then went to eat, and got greedy and lost. Fark. I saw Carry's boyfriend dealing at the roulette table! I avoided that area. I hope he didn't see me. You can just imagine the word that spreads.
I also saw a guy who plays in my Thursday comp serving food at the restaurant.
If I can just manage to walk away after winning $100 I'd be fine.
